Felvideki Labdarugo Egyesület

The selection team "Feldvideki Labdarugo Egyesület" is representing the Hungarian speaking minority in Slovakia. They are with 450,000 people, or 8.5% of the total population, the largest ethnic minority in the country. The Hungarians in Slovakia are living concentrated in compact areas in the southern part of the country near the border to Hungary. They have their representatives in the civil and public life, but do not have special rights in the fields of culture, education and language. The majority is bilingual and speaks beside Hungarian also Slovak.

The Hungarian minority in Slovakia has not been part of the Europeada in the past and is participating as newcomer in South Tyrol.
